Low-pressure
Low-pressure faucets have three connections – one hose goes directly to the cold water connection, the other two hoses are installed at the boiler. When the water is turned on, cold water flows from the pipe into the faucet body where it is separated from a valve and the pressure is reduced.
Only after the valve opens does the cold water flow into the boiler and displaces the water that is heated there, which in turn flows out via the third connection.
Important: With a low-pressure valve, slight dripping is quite normal. Warm water expands. The result: The pressure increases and a small amount of water flows out through the fitting.
